Neither the Manteno Police Department or the Manteno Fire Protection District are calling residents for donations. Beware of persons representing themselves as seeking donations for either department. Please call the Manteno Fire Department at 815-468-6619 or the Manteno Police Department at 815-929-4801 with any questions.
Addresses Must Be Visable From the Street
Your address must be visable from the street. This makes it easier for Fire and Police Departments to find you in case of an emergency.

All residences must have at least three inch tall numbers in a contrasting color on the front of their residence and they must be visable from the street.

The Manteno Police Department is lead by Chief Bernie Thompson. Chief Thompson was appointed Chief of Police in June of 2005. The Manteno Police Department consists of sixteen full time police officers, seven auxiliary officers, and one civilian office manager.
