Mayor's Message

mayor nugent sqWelcome to the official Village of Manteno web site. The Village elected officials and Staff work hard to try and make information about the Village of Manteno readily available and easy for our citizens and visitors to access. Manteno is a great Community with a lot to offer and the web site is a great place to explore what is going on in the Community and to communicate with Village Officials.

Legacy Park - 1725 N. Maple St.

FlagsLegacypark2Legacy Park is a joint effort between the Village of Manteno and Manteno Township. The 66 acre park was purchased in 2008. With the help of Hitchcock Design Group a master plan was created. Hitchcock also helped with two Open Space Land Acquasition and Development (OSLAD) grant applications. We were awarded $400,000 for phase one and $400,000 for phase two.

Legacy Park presently has a Splash Pad, that is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day; a walking path; football/soccer field; softball field; a skate rink that can be used year around (roller blades or ice skates) and a picnic grove and gazebo. More recreation areas will be developed as funds become available.

Splash Pad hours are: 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.  (Memorial Day to Labor Day)

Please follow the posted OPEN or CLOSED sign at the rink.

(The ice rink will not open for the season until ice is ready.  This is all weather dependent.  When the rink is ready the information will be posted on the Homepage of our website and our Facebook page.)
